The Rome-based Data Centre is the operational hub that coordinates all of the Foundation’s research activities.
It is a structure of excellence, certified at European level and internationally acknowledged for the management of Clinical Trials.
The Data Centre ensures that the strictest quality and reliability requirements are met during the conduct of clinical trials along with the highest scientific and methodological rigour, through compliance with the European regulations currently in force.
It is a highly professional, computerised operational structure with a multidisciplinary staff of more than 40 people, such as doctors, biologists, project managers, computer scientists, data managers, statisticians and lawyers, working together at the highest professional level.
Main Activities
The main activities carried out by the Data Centre are:
Design and organisation of Clinical Trials: from concept to protocol drafting, management of regulatory affairs and communications with Ethics Committees and competent authorities.
Clinical trial conduct, coordination of participating centres, data collection management.
Pharmacovigilance, statistical analysis and publication of reports and scientific papers.
Organisation of training courses and scientific dissemination activities.
